A warm welcome awaits at our cottages that form part of a productive smallholding with private grounds of 14 acres on which we breed a selection of livestock and grow our own seasonal vegetables.
The cottages have been converted from old stone farm buildings dating back to at least the 18th century and contain a lot of character. Tucked quietly down a country lane they are ideally situated whether you want to walk along the cliffs on the coast paths for dramatic and breathtaking scenery, taking it easy and getting away from the hustle and bustle of every day life or visiting the many local places of interest. However you decide to spend your holiday there is always the sauna and spa to spend a relaxing hour.
A short walk will find the beaches and rock-pools of our local bay of Berry or Blackpool where children of all ages will love exploring. A little further a field the beaches and rock-pools of Sandymouth Bay, Welcombe Mouth, Bucks Cross and Widemouth Bay can be found.
The village of Hartland, which is within walking distance through the ancient woods of Cheristow, offers a variety of shops e.g. green grocers, fish and chips, off licence/general store, craft shops, pubs, vets, doctors and post office/newsagent.
General
Stepping Stones Initiative – A Commitment towards Quality – the cottages were to such a high standard that I found everything in place. Fixtures and fittings are regularly being replaced with modern replacements in keeping with the cottages.
Produce is available which is grown and reared as organically as possible.

(Pets are not to be left unattended in the cottages or allowed on any furniture or beds)
The children’s play paddock has swings, climbing, frame, sandpit, swing ball, bats, balls and other games.
We have a variety of animals which children may enjoy feeding, including sheep, cows, ducks, chickens, pigs etc.
We ask that children are not left unattended at any time in either the play paddock or around the animals.
Arrival time – 4 p.m. – Departure time – 10 a.m.
Thorough cleaning of cottages are undertaken between lettings. As the time available for this is limited we ask that accommodation is kept clean and tidy during stay and to be left in the same condition on departure as on arrival.
Please note that the hirer is responsible and is liable for any damage/breakage’s to the property and we ask that you inform us at the time of any damage/breakages which must be paid for.
Bookings
A deposit of 25% per week is required within 7 days of booking with the remainder paid 10 weeks before commencement of holiday. For holidays booked within 12 weeks of date full payment is required within 10 days
Cottage Cancellation– Cottage Cancellation is included – details on request. No cottage rental monies will be refunded unless proof is provided e.g. Doctors certificate.
